Genome Dynamics in Bacterial Genome

This research line is focused in the frequent genome rearrangement than occur in bacteral due to homologus recombination between reiterate sequences.

We are using a novel strategy - natural genomic design - to obtein bacterial strains with alternative genomic structures. Such strains might be useful to address scientific questions or to solve some applied problems.
